The Camperbud is a delightful outdoor storage solution configured around integrated organization, rigid construction, and a geometry that allows efficient stacking and transport.

Designed to address a gap in the market between highly priced overland gear and flimsy or simple storage bins, Camperbud is for families, weekend campers, festival campers, and everyday people who want to know where everything is when they arrive.

The Problem

This is how you will typically find camping gear stored and organized. It all fits together when perfectly packed, but as soon as a few items come out, the kids start running around, and the beer starts flowing, it quickly turns into a jumbled mess.

‘Gear soup’ makes things hard to find, hard to put away, and the overall experience less enjoyable.

Available Solutions

There are many storage bins on the market, but the majority are either open bins with no organizational elements, made of flimsy materials, or very high in price.

On the budget side you have your typical plastic bins, a host of collapsible style options, or bins made of a cloth type material that won't stand up to rain. These usually range from $40-60

For high end products, you have brands like Pelican and Yeti that sell beefed up bins built with expensive, heavy-duty materials and carry a hefty overland tax. These cases range in price from $250 all the way up to $1000+.

Additionally most of these brands lean very heavily into the macho 4wd demographic, which Camperbud is not.

Camperbud was created to sit in the middle range with a well thought out design and a family friendly brand that speaks more to happy times around the fire than aggressive forays through mud and dirt.

We're aiming to keep the price point at or below $100.

The Design

With its thoughtful compartment arrangement, and enough height to ensure your drinks will always be stored standing upright, the interior layout is what sets Camperbud apart from comparable products.

One of the key design decisions was choosing rigid interior construction over flexibility. While removable dividers and modular inserts can offer more configuration options, they also tend to shift, collapse, and ultimately become less dependable over time.

By building the organization directly into the structure, contents stay secure during transport while keeping the load in / load out process streamlined and optimized.

Much more than a sturdy container with a happy vibe, the Camperbud is designed with intention to house the Coleman Cascade camping stove ( it also fits most similar style stoves from other brands), four 1 lb propane tanks, and everything else you might need to put together a camping kitchen fast. It's the perfect mode of transport for the outdoor chef while also being an ideal solution to bedding, clothing, and hardware configurations.

The Prototype

The CamperBud prototype is built and it’s exceeding our expectations.

What started as a solution for organizing a camp kitchen has proven to be far more versatile than we originally imagined. The interior layout works surprisingly well across a wide range of configurations, from sleep gear and camp hardware to cooking equipment, tools, food, and all the miscellaneous gear that comes along for the ride.

We know it will all make a lot more sense once you see it in action, so we’re putting together a series of short explainer videos showing exactly how the system works, the features, and a few different configuration options.

Competiton Landscape

Before launching Camperbud, we searched high and wide for a bin that would meet our needs in terms of stability, organization and a fair price. Our research uncovered a number of great storage options, but none of them combined the functionality, stability and accessibility of Camperbud.

Today, Camperbud is a developed product concept with a delightful brand, patent-pending design, working prototype, and a clear mission: make camping simpler, more organized, and more enjoyable for everyone.
